Meghan & Harry Purchase A Home In Portugal
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly dropped over $4.7M to purchased one of 300 soon-to-be constructed residences at the 722-acre CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club. The club, which is located near a small town called Melides, is about 81 miles south of Lisbon, which means it affords the couple a lot of privacy, something they are very vocally passionate about.
Some reports are saying that the pair purchased the home in Portugal in an effort to be closer to Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who also own a home at the same club. However, newer reports are claiming a different motivation.
Life In The US Wasn't What They Thought It'd Be
According to King Charles' former personal butler Grant Harrold, Meghan and Harry purchased the Portugal vacation home because they're growing tired of their new life in the United States. He thinks it's evidence that they're "edging their way back in the direction of the UK."
"Their life in the US," he continued. "There's so many people that move away and move back, so I don't think there's anything unusual about Harry and Meghan leaving the US for Europe."
As a way of explanation, he offered, "Maybe living in the States wasn't wha thtye thought it would be and that could be why they're now supposedly edging their way back in the direction of the UK." They'll probably have some royal apologizing to do before they are welcomed back, though!
