When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage began in the summer of 2018, the couple seemed happily in love as ever. But Tina Brown’s new book, “The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor — The Truth and the Turmoil,” which gives an inside view of the Royal Family’s trials and tribulations, reveals that there may have been more than meets the eye at the beginning of this whirlwind romance. In fact, Brown writes that this couple share a “mutual addiction to drama.” Uh-oh!
Inside sources told Brown that the events leading up to the royal wedding were especially drama-filled: “All drama, all the time,” she writes. “Meghan’s MO was seen as revving up Harry when she sensed any obstruction.”
There were seemingly countless feuds between Markle and her soon-to-be in-laws—sometimes, even the staff was involved. Brown recounts instances where Markle participated in arguments about the wedding regarding everything from the tiara that would adorn her head on her special day to the particular tights that would be worn by the flower girls.
