We already know that Kate Middleton will not be at this year’s Trooping the Color event on June 15th, as Kensington Palace confirmed that she will be skipping it to focus on her recovery from cancer. But she isn’t the only royal to not make an appearance, as estranged brother-in-law Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle will also be no shows.

According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan haven’t been invited to the event – which doubles up as part of the monarch’s birthday celebrations – for the second year in a row, which proves that the royal feud is still very much ongoing and showing no signs of being resolved.

Harry And Meghan Snub Is Reportedly 'A Poignant Reflection Of Their Ongoing Estrangement' From The Royal Family

"This continued exclusion of Meghan and Harry from Trooping the Color is a poignant reflection of their ongoing estrangement from the core of the British monarchy," publicist Michael Levine told The Mirror.

"Their absence for the second year running underscores the deep rifts that persist despite the pageantry and tradition that define the royal family," he continued, adding: "It's a stark reminder that personal conflicts can ripple through the public spectacle even in the most revered institutions."

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Past Trooping The Color Appearances

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended Trooping the Color in 2018 and 2019, before they had stepped down as senior royals in 2020. The event was scaled down significantly in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but resumed in the more conventional way in 2022.

In 2022, Prince Harry and Meghan were actually in the U.K. for the Trooping Color event, but didn't appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony as they were no longer senior royals. They enjoyed the celebration from a room above Horse Guards Parade along with other non-working royals.
