Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be going back on a *lot* of their previous actions these days! In addition to Prince Harry, 38, allegedly scrambling to edit some of his bombshell memoir following the death of his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, out of respect to the late monarch as well as the current monarch, i.e., his father, King Charles III, he and wife Meghan, 41, are also reportedly desperate to make changes to their forthcoming Netflix docuseries too.

According to Page Six, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “at odds” with Netflix and their own production team as they are “panicked” about the docuseries – which is part of the $100M deal they made with the streaming giant – and have allegedly asked to “cut chunks” from it, as according to a source, they are keen to “downplay much of what they have said about King Charles III, Queen Consort and the Prince and Princess of Wales.” Wow!

They have allegedly asked Netflix if they can "tone down" some of the content as they are "having second thoughts on their own story," but they have reportedly been told by Netflix and their production team that any huge changes could result in the series being "shelved indefinitely." Omg!

"They’ve made significant requests to walk back content they themselves have provided – to the extent that some Netflix staff believe, if granted, it will effectively shelve the project indefinitely," an insider from Netflix shared with Page Six, adding that: "Netflix is standing by the filmmakers."

"Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language. But it’s their story, from their own mouths," a separate source added.

When will Harry and Meghan's Netflix series be out?

Although the Sussexes have reportedly asked for a new 2023 release date, current reports are suggesting that it will still go ahead and air at the end of 2022, as originally planned. No official release date has been announced, although it’s being hinted that it could hit screens right after season 5 of The Crown, which starts on November 9th.

"Netflix has been keen to have the show ready for December," a Netflix insider said. "There's a lot of pressure on the CEO (Ted Sarandos), who has the relationship with Harry and Meghan to get this show finished."

So what is Harry and Meghan's docuseries actually about?

If we are to believe Meghan's recent interview with The Cut, the docuseries is mainly about her relationship with Prince Harry. "The piece of my life I haven’t been able to share, that people haven’t been able to see, is our love story," she said, adding that she wants to show that "love wins" and is "the sentiment that people feel when they see any of the content or the projects that we are working on."
