Royal Photographer Says Prince Harry Has Changed Since Meeting Meghan Markle
"He used to say 'I'll do everything I can to make it good for you,' and that's what shocked me when he just cut us all dead, that one time up in Manchester," Edwards recalled, in reference to an event in Manchester in 2017.
"I'll never forget and I was shocked and it was just the day he met Meghan or the day he fell in love with Meghan, and it's all changed since then," Edwards added.
Let's not forget that the Spare author and Meghan made things very difficult for photographers during their royal wedding in May 2018, with Edwards previously saying that the day was "miserable" for him because of Prince Harry's demands about keeping the media away.
"I can tell you now it was the worst royal wedding I ever did," he previously recalled. "Because Harry was determined to keep the newspapers away from it as much as possible." He added at the time: "Everything was done on long lenses. I had an 800-millimeter lens photographing the guests arriving. The photographers they engaged for the job was five feet away. It was just hopeless."
Royal Photographer Recalls Some 'Fun' Moments He Shared With Prince Harry In The Past
"I feel sad about that because he was a fabulous person to work with," Edwards continued, before going on to describe Prince Harry as "so much fun" in the past. I.e., before he met the American Riviera Orchard founder.
Edwards recalled one "fun" moment between them, saying: "I remember when he met the Jamaican Prime Minister, instead of saying 'hello ma'am, pleased to meet you,' he just hugged her." When asked why he hugged her, Prince Harry apparently said at the time: "Because my father said she likes a hug so I thought I'd get in first." Edwards then said: "And that's what he was like, it was so much fun."
"And then we went to Brazil and he playing football with the kids on the beach and he's running a road race and as he finished the race he had a picture of William on his face," Edwards continued, in reference to another event, before concluding that the father-of-two "was fun and he was surprising" in his pre-Meghan life.
