Prince William's Duchy Of Cornwall Salary For 2023-2024 Revealed
Prince William inherited both the Duke of Cornwall title and the Duchy of Cornwall estate when his father became monarch following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II. The estate was established by King Edward III way back in 1337 to provide funds for the heir to the throne and their family; and it's reportedly worth over $1B!
The Duchy of Cornwall's Integrated Annual Report, which was published on Thursday, July 24th, as per People, revealed a distributable surplus of $30.4M for the 2023-2024 financial year.
New Report Reveals Prince William New Titles
As well as confirming that Prince William was the new Duke of Cornwall and head of the estate, the report also showed that the father-of-three was given the title of Patron of the Football Association (FA), a title which was previously held by the late Queen Elizabeth II. We know how much Prince William loves football, so we imagine he was thrilled with the title!
Prince William was also named president of the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association, which gives the highest military honor to civilians and military personnel.
Prince Harry Will Get A Big Payout Too
It's not often that we can say that Prince Harry will be receiving extra funds from the royal family, but he is reportedly due a big payout in September!
According to reports, the Duke of Sussex, 39, will receive a large amount of money on his 40th birthday on September 15th. Despite the ongoing royal family feud, he is reportedly still set to receive $8.5M from his share of the $90M trust fund his late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, put in place before her death in 2002.
Perhaps what will be even sweeter for Prince Harry is the fact that he will receive more from the $90M trust fund than his estranged brother. "William will benefit from the vast wealth of the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate that funds the public, charitable, and private activities of the king's heir," a source told The Mirror. "As a result, Harry is likely to receive slightly more than half of the [money] allocated for the brothers."
