Many celebrities are doing their part in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, including Kate Middleton and Prince William. The royal couple recently announced that their charitable organization “will do all it can to support those on the frontline of responding to COVID-19 in the U.K.”

The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and Prince William’s charitable organization, began in 2008 as The Royal Foundation. Its mission was initially a vehicle to Prince William and Prince Harry's charitable giving. When both William and Harry married, Kate and Meghan also became part of the organization.  Currently, the foundation is primarily run by Kate Middleton and Prince William, since both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have both left royal duties.

The foundation’s focus in the near future will be on providing support to frontline responders and their families, especially the mental health needs for healthcare workers and their loved ones.

The foundation’s website even underwent a design change to reflect its current mission. Their new message is front and center on the home page, “playing our part in the national effort to thank and celebrate all those working on the frontline of this crisis.”

Kate and Prince William have shown their continued support for emergency workers on social media, during their zoom calls, and during their final in-person outing to the call center while practicing proper social distancing protocol.
