It hasn’t been a good few months for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship, as yet another rumor has surfaced in regards to the future King of England’s dating history. The past was dug up quite a lot in December 2021 following the November 30th release of Christopher Andersen’s explosive book, Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry, and Meghan, in particular the prince’s dating history prior to proposing to Kate. However, that was only the beginning, as the new year has brought with it fresh allegations regarding a woman from Kate and Wills’ past. And if we are to believe the rumors, Prince William was allegedly having an affair with her while Kate was pregnant with their third child, their now three-year-old son, Prince Louis! We can’t believe what we are reading!
Rumors of Prince William cheating on his pregnant wife with Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley (who was actually once a close friend of Kate’s!) first started circulating in April 2019 when they were first published by InTouch, and then re-published shortly after by some British tabloids. Prince William immediately responded by taking legal action against the British publications who printed the “false and highly damaging” allegations, and threatened to do the same to any other publication that printed them. We thought that the rumors were well and truly shut down, and that was the end of them, but they have once again surfaced. And this time, they are getting harder to ignore!
The rumors resurfaced on Twitter at the end of last month thanks to journalist Alex Tiffin, who replied to Daily Mail editor Richard Eden's tweet about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's now infamous comments about the unnamed royal who commented on the color of son Archie's skin before he was born.
Eden's tweet on December 28th 2021 read: "I genuinely worry that Prince Harry and #Meghan's criticism of unnamed 'racist' royals has increased the danger of attacks on the #Royal Family. Security needs to be stepped up as a result," to which Tiffin replied, "Deputy Editor of race baiting newspaper trying to divert attention from the huge L in court. Also, I'd rather the media just named Prince William as the person in question, instead of pussy footing about it, like they did his affair with the Rose lassie."
Tiffin didn’t end things there, and added a few more tweets to further illustrate his point. His next tweet said: "PS. Injunctions from the High Court in London are worthless in Scotland, my residence and no amount of legal pressure is going to erase the fact Prince William had an affair with Rose Hanbury. Enjoy your evening."
Tiffin followed up by hinting that there is a great deal of proof that Prince William did indeed have an affair with Hanbury, writing: "Multiple UK news outlets have had evidence of the affair and his other comments, some even spoke of them on this site before legal threats saw them delete. A Royal shouldn't be afforded extra protection from scrutiny than any other public figure. Journalists report, not handle." It's believed that Tiffin's last tweet was in reference to royal reporter Giles Coren’s since-deleted tweet from 2019 that read, "I know about the affair, everyone knows about the affair." We wonder how Kate is handling this…
