Prince Harry is reportedly still hoping for a way back into the royal family – perhaps even more so now that his days in the U.S. could be numbered due to the ongoing problems he is facing with his visa.
And if we are to believe some new comments from a royal expert, the first and most important step is to apologize to his older brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, in a bid to put an end to the years-long royal feud once and for all. But will he do it?!
Royal Expert Believes Harry And Meghan Need To 'Really Apologize' If They Want To Reconcile With Prince William And Kate Middleton
"I've been speaking to people about the chances of a reconciliation between the brothers. But everyone really has made the same points that it won't happen until Harry and Meghan really apologize for everything they have said," royal expert Richard Eden said on the Palace Confidential podcast.
Eden went on to say that they may not necessarily need to release an official statement or make any grand gestures, but a genuine apology behind closed doors is definitely needed so everyone can move forward.
"They need to apologize, at least privately," Eden noted, before saying that the Prince and Princess of Wales will likely always be dubious about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as they will always wonder whether anything they say or do will be written about in a book or spoken about on TV.
"But also," Eden continued, "how can there be that reconciliation when William and Catherine just don't know what will later appear in a TV program or in a book?" He added: "Genuinely, once you've lost that trust you've kind of lost it forever."
Eden concluded by speculating that even if Prince Harry *does* apologize, Prince William *may* not ever welcome his younger brother back into the family due to the secrets he spilled in Spare and on the Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries.
"Can you imagine what they were thinking about?" Eden asked. "Because, in his [Harry's] memoirs, he had just revealed those intimate conversations that they never in a million years thought would have been published, so there really won't be any welcome back."
