Although Prince William and Kate Middleton, the new Prince and Princess of Wales, finally reuniting with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has been a sight that many royal fans have loved to see (despite the heartbreaking circumstances) other royal fans have found some problems with one of their first outings. And it’s actually something Prince William did which caused a huge stir!

On Saturday, September 10th, after the two princes and their wives had left Windsor Castle after looking at the floral tributes left for Queen Elizabeth II following her death, Prince Harry was spotted acting like a “gentleman” when he lovingly opened the car door for his wife and waited for her to sit inside before walking over to the other side and getting into the car himself. Prince William, on the other hand, was spotted walking to the other side of the car and getting inside, leaving his wife to climb into the passenger side unescorted.

This small act caused a *big* stir on social media, with “Be a Harry not a William” almost instantly trending as soon as the video footage was released. “The way Harry treats Meghan shows he is the real Prince,” read one caption to one of the many TikTok videos of the moment.

And many other comments followed on various social media platforms. “Aww lovely to see Harry open the door for Meghan a true gentleman,” one fan said on Twitter. “Say what you will about Harry and Meghan but he puts his arm around her back and opens her car door for her. He loves her. That gets a swoon from me,” gushed another fan.

“Prince Harry my favourite Royal. Manners like his beloved mother,” another fan wrote, referencing Prince Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana, while a few other fans speculated that there may be some tension between Prince William and Kate, with one writing: “Looks like there’s trouble in paradise for Will and Kate.”
