When Prince Harry told his brother and sister-in-law Kate Middleton about his new girlfriend, he was apparently shocked to find out that they were huge fans of the hit legal drama she was starring in. But instead of being excited that he was dating one of the stars of the show, his brother had something very unexpected to say…
"She's an American actress, after all, Harold. Anything might happen," Prince William allegedly said, according to Prince Harry's memoir.
The Prince of Wales then reportedly advised his younger brother (who he sometimes refers to as Harold, despite his name actually being Henry!) to "slow down," as he could see that he was quickly becoming smitten with the brunette beauty. Prince Harry revealed in the book that he was "a bit hurt" by his brother's warning, but he simply nodded before hugging his brother and sister-in-law.
Meghan Markle Recalls Meeting Prince William And Kate Middleton For The First Time
Meghan recalled the moment she was introduced to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for the first time on their controversial Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries. Meghan said she found the formality of the meeting "surprising," as she expected the royals to be a little more relaxed when they were off-duty.
"When Will and Kate came over, and I met her for the first time, they came over for dinner, I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot. I was a hugger. I've always been a hugger, I didn't realize that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits," Meghan confessed.
"I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside," she continued. "There is a forward-facing way of being, and then you close the door and go 'You can relax now,' but that formality carries over on both sides. And that was surprising to me."
