Let’s be real, Priyanka Chopra owned the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar After Party. Everyone can’t stop talking about the actress’ gorgeous ELIE SAAB gown, but we’re still totally obsessing over her show-stopping glam, which was done using products from JILL STUART Beauty.
Celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff is the mastermind behind Chopra’s stunning red carpet glam and walked us through the star’s makeup look for the big event.
“Priyanka wore a dramatic black gown by ELIE SAAB with beadwork which I decided to mimic on the eyes,” Dubroff tells SheFinds. “Her gorgeous CHOPARD earrings also played a factor. Typically we work with Priyanka’s natural lid shape (round/almond) but this time we wanted an elongated winged eye for a more dramatic look.”
Here’s how Dubroff created the look:
Step 1: The Brows
Dubroff gently filled in Chopra’s brows using the JILL STUART Beauty Airy Stay Brow Liner (03).
Step 2: The Eyeshadow
To create the perfect metallic eyeshadow look, Dubroff started by applying the JILL STUART Beauty Iconic Look Eyeshadow (C204) along the crease to create depth. “This was an essential part to her eyes as this creamy, bronzy copper color, allowed the shade of the dark eye to harmonize with her skin tone. Black can sometimes make those with darker skin tones look a bit grey and this helped the lid have a nice base wash to build on,” she says. Then, she created the corner shape using thick black smudgeable eye pencil followed by the JILL STUART Beauty Twinkle Glow Multi Stick on the lid to add shine and make the lid look wet.
Step 3: The Lashes
Dubroff added more depth to lash line corners with the JILL STUART Beauty Kittenish Look Liner and then finished up with the JILL STUART Beauty Lasting Curl Blossom Waterproof Mascara.
Step 4: The Lips
For Chopra’s beautiful rosy lips, Dubroffused a combo of the JILL STUART Beauty Dressed Rouge (04) as a base and then on top, a wash of the JILL STUART Beauty Lip Blossom (46).
Want to recreate the look at home? Dubroff says that it’s best to use a glitter that is suspended in a gel definitely helps reduce messy fallout. If you want a more subtle shimmer, Dubroff suggests opting for a metallic shadow instead of glitter. “You could keep the shape and elongated corners and can use softer tones (greys or browns) and a more simple shimmer on the lid. Textures can be light and sheer, with a nod to the drama,” she adds.
