Royal fans are concerned for Queen Camilla‘s health, as she was forced to adjust her plans for the first day of the Qatari state visit to the U.K. on Tuesday, December 3rd due to health concerns.

According to reports, the 77-year-old Queen Consort hasn’t fully recovered from the chest infection she was fighting last month, and is still taking things slowly. As per her doctors’ orders, she pulled out of the official start of the Qatari state visit to the U.K. but joined the rest of the royal family a little later on in the day.

Queen Camilla Tells Guests At Buckingham Palace She Was Battling A Form Of Pneumonia

Queen Camilla told guests at the lunch at Buckingham Palace that her chest infection was a form of pneumonia, which she believes she contracted after she and King Charles visited Australia and Samoa.

She has been fighting the chest infection for the past month, and is said to be experiencing post viral fatigue. According to the Daily Mail, sources have claimed that she has "lingering side effects" and "significantly diminished reserves of energy" after contracting the chest infection, and needs time to "rest and recover fully."

Royal fans will have noticed that she missed the Remembrance Day events on November 10th and November 11th last month. She addressed her absence on November 12th, and said in a video shared on X by Daily Mail Royal Editor Rebecca English: "I'm obviously getting much better, bit of sort of coughing going on."

Fan Comments

One fan wrote in a Daily Mail comment section: "I think that she does a great job at her age, she stepped up while Charles was/is receiving treatment for cancer. I am of a similar age and could not keep up the pace. The latest virus is particularly unpleasant and as an ex heavy smoker Camilla will have weakened lungs. I wish her well and hope that she's soon back supporting her family."

"Hope she feels better soon," wrote a second fan, as a third added: "There's been some horrid bugs around, I had one and it floored me for a few weeks and she's older than me, she has my sympathy. Hope she is soon feeling better. " "She's doing marvelous for her age give her some rest," wrote a fourth, as a fifth said: "Wishing you a speedy recovery, Camilla."
