King Charles and Queen Camilla bid a heartfelt goodbye as they concluded their recent royal tour of Australia and Samoa.
According to the Daily Mail, Camilla, 77, was seen shedding tears as her husband Charles, 75, gave an emotional speech during a traditional Ava ceremony in Siumu, a village on the Samoan Upolu island.
The monarch, honored with the esteemed title of To’aiga-o-Tumua, seemed profoundly touched by the welcome he and his wife received from the locals (as per Marie Claire).
In February, Charles publicly revealed his cancer diagnosis, and subsequent reports have indicated that his treatment is progressing well.

Despite undergoing treatment, he embarked on this international tour accompanied by two doctors. During his speech, Charles told the audience: "I shall always remain devoted to this part of the world and hope that I survive long enough to come back again and see you."
He added: "We shall take away with us, I promise you, very special memories of our time here. We thank you for our wonderful gifts." In the meantime, the village chief informed Charles, as reported by the Daily Mail: "Your papa Prince Philip was here, so were your brothers. So thank you for making the time. Your royal visit has lifted our house."
Charles reportedly felt rejuvenated and "lifted" by his journey to Australia and Samoa, the outlet noted, where he attended as many as ten events daily. Next year, the king will embark on a "full" comprehensive schedule of international tours, thanks to his doctors' renewed confidence in his health.
During the farewell ceremony, Charles addressed the attendees, as reported by GB News: "We've been so impressed by the beautiful way in which all the villages have decorated the roadsides, it is something very special about Samoa." According to the Daily Mail, the royal couple's latest tour has been seen as a remarkable triumph.
"[Charles'] Australia and Samoa tour was seen by Buckingham Palace as a huge test of his reign—and surpassed all expectations," the outlet recently wrote. The publication also noted that Camilla has embraced her vital role in supporting Charles after his cancer diagnosis and amid his treatment.
"At Queen Camilla's urging, he has been taking some down time by reading a 'great' new book," the Daily Mail wrote. The pub also reported: "The King feels closer to his wife than ever. The couple are a "remarkable unit," courtiers say, and she has kept it "real" for him."
