According to Buckingham Palace, Queen Camilla has had to cancel several planned appearances this week due to a chest infection. This has prompted fans to voice their worries about the 77-year-old royal’s health on social media.

This follows the appearance of Camilla’s husband, King Charles, along with his son Prince William and daughter-in-law Kate Middleton, at a Remembrance Day event in London on November 9th, where Camilla was noticeably absent.

Just last week, Camilla made her way back to the UK after accompanying the King, 75, on a journey to Australia and Samoa, with a brief layover in India during their return.

Queen Camilla Said To Miss Appearances This Week Due To Chest Infection: Fans Express Concerns

As noted in a recent statement from the Palace regarding Camilla's current health status: "Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest."

"With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal."

On X (formerly Twitter), many fans took to the site to share their "prayers" for Camilla as they noticed she was not at the Remembrance Day event.

"Prayers and best wishes to Queen Camilla Get well soon," one wrote as another added: "Wishing you a speedy recovery. Sorry you got sick." Someone else commented: "Feel better!"

In February 2023, the Queen had to cancel a week's worth of engagements due to illness after testing positive for Covid-19. This marked the second instance of Camilla contracting the virus, the first being in February 2022.

In other news, Camilla has produced a television documentary aimed at highlighting the issue of domestic violence, set to air next week.

As for the Remembrance Day event she missed due to her illness, it was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The gathering paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in World War I and World War II.

The assembly was also Princess Kate's most recent public appearance since finishing her chemotherapy a few months ago.

Charles was also diagnosed with a form of cancer back in February and has been receiving treatment in the months since.

This Remembrance Day event sets the stage for a subsequent ceremony at the Cenotaph war memorial on November 10th, where Charles will place a wreath.
