Kate Middleton Takes Time Off For Cancer Treatment
After announcing that she would be undergoing abdominal surgery in January, Kate Middleton released a video in March sharing that tragic news that she's been diagnosed with cancer. "I underwent major abdominal surgery in London," Kate said in the video, "and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful, however tests after the operation found cancer had been present."
Since then, she's been undergoing chemotherapy treatments, and though things seem to be going well, she's acknowledge just how tough the battle is. A few days before the Trooping the Colour, Kate let fans know in an Instagram post that she would be in attendance, but still isn't feeling back to normal.
"I am making good progress," she wrote in the caption, "but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to given in to your body resting. but on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well."
Queen Camilla Is Ready To Step Into The Spotlight
Lucky for Kate Middleton, Queen Camilla is reportedly ready to step into the spotlight while she continues to recover. Queen Camilla has always felt the need to prove herself, ever since she and King Charles got married, she's been labeled as the "other woman" by critics all over the globe, with some, including her stepson Prince Harry, saying things even worse about it.
It seems that Kate Middleton taking a step back from royal engagements has given Queen Camilla the confidence to pave her own way."She wants the man she loves to be proud of her," royal commentator Jennie Bond told Ok! magazine. "And to pull her weight in their partnership."
She continued, saying that Camilla is looking "sleeker, smarter, and more stylish than ever and she has grown immeasurably in confidence" in the months since Kate has disappeared from the public eye. "What a contrast to those early days when she looked and sounded so very nervous if she had to speak in public. Now she is assured, confident and comfortable in her new and very demanding role." Luckily, there's room for more than one confident woman in the royal family!
