More details about Prince Harry‘s brief trip to the U.K. to see his father, King Charles, after his dancer diagnosis are now coming out. According to reports, the Duke of Sussex, 39, was actually asked to leave Clarence House, where the meeting with his father took place, after just 30 minutes because Queen Camilla was “outraged” with his “attitude.”
It was previously reported that Prince Harry only had 30-45 minutes with his father, as he and his step-mother had to leave for Buckingham Palace, where a helicopter was waiting to take them to their Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. However, it’s now looking like the meeting may have been cut short due to something Prince Harry could have said or done!
Queen Camilla Was Reportedly 'Furious' With Prince Harry's Brief Visit
According to a royal courtier, Queen Camilla was unhappy with Prince Harry's visit even before his plane touched down, as he reportedly made the trip without getting proper permission. "Her Majesty was furious Harry flew in from his ritzy California home without getting palace approval – and came with an attitude," the royal courtier reportedly told the National Enquirer.
The pub, as well as several other outlets, noted that the father-of-two had made some comments about wanting to see his own father privately, without his step-mother present, which reportedly infuriated Queen Camilla even further.
"I'm told Camilla was outraged," the courtier added, in reference to Prince Harry's alleged request to have some alone time with his father. "She's taken a lot of bile from Harry for years and couldn't wait to let him have it."
Prince Harry And Queen Camilla's Frosty Relationship
It's no secret that Prince Harry and Queen Camilla have had a frosty relationship over the years, with Prince Harry calling her "dangerous" and "the villain" in his bombshell memoir, Spare. "I have complex feelings about gaining a step-parent who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal P.R. altar," he wrote in the memoir, adding that meeting Camilla was like an "injection," adding, "Close your eyes and you won't even feel it."
According to the National Enquirer, the royal courtier claimed that Queen Camilla, who married King Charles back in 2005, was furious that Prince Harry was being painted as a "loving son" for dropping everything to visit his father after his cancer diagnosis.
"Camilla has taken it all on the chin, but using her husband's cancer as a 'loving son' PR stunt was the last straw," the courtier concluded. "After the father-son reunion, I hear she told Harry he's a disgrace to his father, the family and the monarchy – and she left no doubt he isn't wanted back!"
