One thing's for sure, outdoor locations make for some of the most beautiful wedding ceremony and reception venues. And this especially stands for when the weather finally starts to cool down just a bit. However, there are things you need to consider before deciding on an outdoor wedding. Read on to find out the questions every bride should ask before choosing an outdoor wedding.

1. What Will The Weather Be Like?

First, think about what the weather will be like on your wedding day at your desired outdoor location. Even if you choose an early fall wedding to beat the heat, you may still have to worry about hurricane season. You should definitely take the weather into consideration too if you're having a destination wedding. Talk with the location's manager to find out what the weather is normally like around the time that you plan on getting married.

2. Is There A Back-Up Plan?

Even if you think you're going to be guaranteed decent weather on your wedding day, you can never plan for a rainy day. That's why a back-up plan is so essential if you choose to have an outdoor wedding ceremony or reception-- or both! Make sure to have a back-up plan lined up if the weather ends up being unexpectedly horrible. But remember, rain on your wedding day is good luck.

3. Is It At A Convenient Location?

Consider how much time it will take you and your guests to travel to your outdoor wedding location. You should try your best to reserve a convenient location that's in reasonable distance from where you're getting ready on your wedding morning. Plus, guests will also appreciate the convenient location too.

4. Could Your Dress Get Ruined?

You should also think about how your location could potentially damage your wedding dress. If your location is tropical think about water damage. And if your location is in the woods think about the dirt. You may want to choose a different style dress so yours doesn't get damaged on your big day. Or, have an outfit ready that you can change into after your ceremony.

5. Is It Handicap Accessible?

Next, think about your guests' ages. Do you have grandparents or older relatives that will be invited to the outdoor ceremony or reception? If so, it's important to make sure that the location is easy for them to navigate on their own. Or even more so, make sure that the location is handicap accessible. Your guests will definitely appreciate your considerate thought!

6. How Will You Decorate It?

It's no secret that rustic outdoor weddings can be so beautiful. However, how exactly will you tackle the task of decorating it? Will you do it yourself or will you hire an event planner? Either way, you'll have to decide how to decorate your wedding location to represent your own personal style in what could potentially be a huge space.

7. Where Can Your Vendors Set Up?

Last but not least, question how your vendors will set up at your outdoor wedding. Remember, you'll need sources of electricity for your lighting and for the vendor that's providing your music. It's always smart to select vendors that have done outdoor weddings before. Extra experience certainly doesn't hurt!
