Many people have taken the last year to improve their overall health despite the pandemic, and Rebel Wilson has proven that her hard work paid off with a jaw dropping 60+ pound weight loss. The 41-year-old actress has been active on social media over the last several weeks, showing off her fit frame and comedic flare, drawing praise from fans in the comments.
Wilson has been vocal about her weight loss journey over the last year, sharing that she declared 2020 as her “year of health,” and revealing that she reached her goal weight of 165 lbs in November of last year. Speaking with The Morning Crew with Hughesy, Ed, and Erin, Wilson said, “Sometimes being bigger, people didn’t necessarily look twice at you. And now that I’m in a good shape, like, people offer to carry my groceries to the car and hold doors open for you. I was like, ‘Is this what other people experienced all the time?”
The actress has accredited her healthier lifestyle to the Mayr Method, an eating plan which prioritizes high alkaline foods and a low sugar and caffeine intake. The new lifestyle is only adding to Wilson’s already bubbling confidence, and she shared an image on social media back in January which she captioned, “Rather than step on the scale, look at yourself in the mirror and be like “dammmm girrrrrl …you’re smart and talented and accomplished and perfect just the way you are.”
