What Do We Know About Reese Witherspoon's Rumored New Boyfriend?
The Big Little Lies actress and the financier were reportedly spotted together on a few occasions over the past few months, with their most recent date night being the Assouline opening event in New York City on Wednesday, September 4th.
According to People, the rumored new couple were also spotted in the Big Apple at the end of July. The Morning Show actress and Haarmann – who is reportedly a minority co-owner of the NHL's New York Islanders and a founding partner of Searchlight Capital – arrived in New York via helicopter on July 29th, and dined at L'Artusi in the West Village the next day.
Although the pair were spotted together on several occasions, insiders previously said that they were taking things very slowly. Back in July, a source reportedly told People that Witherspoon and Haarmann were "friends," while someone else said that the Legally Blonde star was "taking things slow when it comes to dating."
They said at the time: "She enjoys it but doesn't want it to be a big focus. She's busy with work and her son. These are her biggest priorities."
Fan Comments
Casual or not, social media understandably exploded with comments after pictures of Witherspoon and Haarmann's latest outing surfaced.
"I'm looking for a man in finance, with a trust fund, 6' 5", blue eyes," wrote one fan in the comments section of a September 6th People Instagram post, in reference to the viral song by Megan Boni. "This is the comment I was looking for," replied one fan, as another replied with several crying laughing emojis.
"He looks like Leonard from The Big Bang Theory with the old people filter," quipped one fan, which one another agreed with, writing: "I see it!" "Can't un-see now," echoed another, followed by the crying laughing emoji, as another concurred: "Longer & older version of Leonard." "First glance I was like Johnny Gelecki aged quick," agreed yet another.
"Reminds [me] of Roger Federer, but blonde. Cute!" exclaimed another fan. "Wishing them the best!" wrote another supportive fan, followed by the red heart emoji. "You go Reese," raved another fan, as someone else praised: "Good for them."
