Reese Witherspoon has always had an enviable figure – but it’s no secret that she’s looking trimmer and fitter than ever these days!
Akin to most A-listers with incredible physiques, the 48-year-old Legally Blonde alum works extremely hard for it, both in terms of what she eats and what physical activities she does. Keep reading for more details about some of the things she and her trainer have previously said she does to maintain her incredible shape…
Reese Witherspoon Says She Exercises Every Day 'No Matter What Is Going On'
"I exercise every day and eat right every day, no matter what is going on," the Big Little Lies actress reportedly said at the 2023 Australian Real Estate Conference, before going on to say that she tries to fit everything around her busy work schedule.
"If I'm working way into the night, I eat with frequency and I take care of my mind and spirit," she added.
Reese Witherspoon Reportedly Loves Cardio
While many people are not a fan of cardio, the Reese's Book Club founder is not one of those people.
Her trainer Kirschen Katz previously told PopSugar that Reese will often do a three-to-five-mile run as a warm-up (omg!) before doing the rest of her workout. According to Women's Health, another trainer, Michael George, echoed this, and reportedly said that the Morning Show actress does at least 30 minutes of cardio six days a week.
If you cast your minds back to December 2020, i.e., when the world was in a very different state due to the Covid-19 pandemic, you may remember that the Wild actress launched a 30-day walk/run challenge.
This involved her sharing a new workout with her Instagram followers via her Stories every day. However, we love that she sometimes admitted that "some days are just slow" and she "walked more than [she] ran," proving that she's human, too!
Reese Witherspoon Lifts Weights And Does Yoga Too
Although she loves her cardio, the Oscar-winning actress doesn't neglect the weights, either. According to Women's Health, the Walk the Line actress does upper body strength training after her runs, with exercises such as bicep curls and upright rows.
"I like to do two sets of about 12 to 15,' Kirschen told PopSugar about some of the things Reese does. "We do biceps, we do triceps, we do three or four different shoulder movements," Kirschen added.
And that's not all, as Reese is apparently a huge fan of yoga too, with Kirschen saying that she may spend 30 minutes on yoga doing moves such as headstands, handstands, warrior poses, chest-opening poses, and more. We're exhausted just thinking about all the exercise Reese does – but the hard work clearly pays off, as she looks absolutely incredible!
