It’s hard to believe that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton once wore the same dress, but they did. And designer Diane Von Furstenberg took to Instagram recently to remind people that despite the rumored bad blood (especially following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix documentary) the two once were much more in synch. Both beauties once stepped out in the same lace DVF dress. Diane wrote, "Once upon a time two beautiful women married two kind and handsome Princes… (here both wearing the same @dvf dress called Zorita.) Wishing them all Peace and Love for the new year!"
Markle wore the navy mini version of the dress in 2012 for a USA Network event in Los Angeles, pairing it with nude pumps. Kate on the other hand, wore the floor-length black version of the dress for the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre in London in 2014 and accessorized with diamond hoop earrings. Kate, who loves re-wearing her favorite frocks, also wore the lace gown for dinner with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip to celebrate their 70th anniversary. We wonder if both beauties saw Diane Von Furstenberg’s touching tribute, and whether they both still have their matching lace dresses.
