If you’re going for the sock bun look, Wendy’s Lookbook suggests investing in a hair donut or making one out of a sock. If you want a small bun, use a short sock, but if you want a voluminous bun use a longer one. Then, style your hair into a ponytail and slip the end of your hair through the donut. Tuck your hair as you roll the donut down to the base of your ponytail, then secure flyaways with hairpins and hairspray, and your bun is finished!

Creating a knot bun is a lot simpler than it looks! Stylist Katie Nash says all you need to do is separate your hair into two parts, tie them in a knot, and tuck in the ends with hair pins!

If you want a fancier bun, try adding a braid to it! Sophia Lucia says all you need to do is grab a hair donut and slip it to the base of your ponytail (leave a small section of hair from the lower middle section of your head out of the ponytail!), letting all of your hair evenly cover the donut. Then, grab that section left out of the ponytail and begin a dutch braid, adding sections of hair to the braid as you go around the bun.

For a loose, messy-but-sexy bun, YouTuber LaSassafras recommends putting your hair in a high ponytail. But, instead of using your hair tie to tie up the ponytail, loop it halfway through your ponytail and then gather all your hair as you twist it and tie it up.
