Rihanna made quite the impression on fans in New York City last week when she stepped out with her beau A$AP Rocky while sporting a striking graphic t-shirt. The Grammy winner’s blue top was emblazoned with the words “I’m Retired,” which certainly caught the attention of onlookers.

This bold statement tee has added fuel to the alreadyraging fire of fans eagerly anticipating new music from the “Love on the Brain” superstar, 36. Pop culture publication Just Jared managed to obtain paparazzi-shot photos of Rihanna wearing this shirt, a sleek navy maxi skirt and red sneakers, which they promptly uploaded to Instagram.

As expected, fans wasted no time weighing in on the “We Found Love” hitmaker’s outfit in the comments section.

Of course, it’s worth noting that Rihanna has been keeping herself busy with the ongoing promotion of her Fenty Beauty line, so perhaps this is a sign that she’s taking a break from her music career.

Fans React To Rihanna's Striking 'I'm Retired' Graphic Tee After Recent NYC Outing

To complete her get-up for her latest June 6th outing in the Big Apple, Rihanna added a lime green purse, blue oversized shades and layered gold necklaces. Beneath the eye-catching "I'm Retired" text on Rihanna's shirt, another smaller sentence in a red font read: "This is as dressed up as I get."

"Her tshirt says don’t ask me about music," one fan commented beneath the aforementioned post as another added: "the album is never coming." Someone else replied: "She’s retired she ain’t making music" as one other fan noted: "After launching another fenty line. We just need to give up hope for new music rite now."

This year, Rihanna has been serving up stylish looks left and right (as evident from the pictures above and below). She's also shared footage and wholesome snapshots of her two children: RZA, 2, and Riot, 10 months. She shares her two sons with her partner of four years, A$AP Rocky, 36.

Rihanna's eighth (and most recent) studio album, Anti, was released in 2016. Eight years later, both the Fenty mogul and "Fashion Killa" rapper have been asked about Rihanna's future music industry plans.

Whilst strolling the streets of Paris back in February, A$AP Rocky was spotted in a viral video mingling with fans and posing for selfies. Mid-snap, one fan couldn't resist inquiring about the highly anticipated release of Rihanna's R9 album. The "Sundress" artist responded: "She’s working on it," smiling at the fan and then walking away, as seen in the clip on X (formerly Twitter).

Back in April, when she was chatting with Entertainment Tonight, Rihanna spilled some juicy details about her much-anticipated return to the music scene while promoting her sleek and stylish Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty Earth Tone sneaker.

According to the "Umbrella" crooner, the long-awaited release of her new music will definitely be worth it. She deemed the songs she has written so far to be "so good."

ET posed an intriguing question to Rihanna. The outlet inquired if she could envision her children pursuing music as a career choice in the future, following the paths of their musician parents. "I mean, it's up to them," she shared. Rihanna then let slip that she's got a handful of tracks stashed away that would make some pretty sweet album picks.

"I already got stuff that I feel like I can make hits out of. Really," she revealed. Rihanna noted that it all boils down to the song's ownership- whether she gets to use it or if it then goes to her partner. While fans anxiously await new music from her, Rihanna is busy expanding her beauty line.

Last week, she announced the upcoming launch of her latest venture - Fenty Hair, available on June 13th.

Whether it comes to her music, beauty products or clothing line, it's safe to say that fans are always on the edge of their seats waiting for what she has in store.
