Rihanna Fans Are Losing It Over Her Halftime Show Teaser Video: ‘We’ve Waited For You!’

In the video, the "Love on the Brain" singer firstly appears as a silhouette in a large empty room, before walking forward and stepping into the spotlight wearing an oversized bright green furry coat and sporting an intricate Whoville-inspired hairdo and bright blue eyeshadow, with the sound of her fans in the background.

One fan can be heard saying, "Dude, Rihanna, we’ve waited for you," while another notes that it's been "2,000 days since she last performed live." "It's been six years since the nine-time Grammy-winner dropped an album," another factual fan says. "RiRi, where have you been?" another fan asks, after which the "Lift Me Up" singer makes a shushing gesture. Her 2016 song "Needed Me" can be heard playing at the end of the video, which although is not a new single that her fans have been desperately longing for, was still enough to send the comments section into overdrive!

"She's back," wrote one excited fan in the comments section to Rihanna's own post of the teaser, followed by the star eyes emoji. "We missed you!" exclaimed another, while another fan predicted, "The production of this is going to be insane!"

"I cannot wait for this," said another fan, all in caps. "I [expletive] love this woman, she’s here to slay," raved another, followed by two red heart emojis. They added, "2023 is all yours Rihanna, we ready," followed by the hand praising emoji. "I'm so happy!" another fan commented, adding, "I feel like crying!"

Trust Rihanna to capitalize on this historic moment every way she can, as it doesn’t surprise us to learn that she is also launching a special, limited-edition Savage x Fenty game day collection to coincide with her performance. We would expect nothing less!

Some of the items in the 17-piece collection include football themed jerseys, hoodies, sweatpants, varsity jackets, and beanies, among other things; and perhaps our favorite piece of all, a T-shirt with the caption: "Rihanna concert interrupted by a football game, weird but whatever." We don’t think we've ever looked forward to a sporting event this much!
