Rosie O'Donnell Moves To Ireland
The former View host revealed that this had been in the works ever since it became a possibility that Trump could move back into the White House. She explained to The New York Times that her therapist actually encouraged her to have a plan in place in case he did win the election to ease her anxiety.
"I never thought he would win again, but I said, 'If he does, I'm going to move,' and my therapist said, 'Well, let's make a real plan," O'Donnell recalled. And when the results came in, she set it into motion.
Social Media Reactions
After making the official announcement of her move across the pond on TikTok, O'Donnell had lots of support from fans. "You're so blessed you could leave," one person said in a comment on her post.
"I'm happy for you and understand why you needed to go," another wrote. "I wish I could leave, too. I hope there will be a time when the light shines in the US again."
"I absolutely loved Ireland," another added. "I hope you find your peace there."
"Bravo Rosie," a final fan posted. "Leaving was the right thing to do for your safety. Who knows how far Trump and his pigs will go to silence people they don't like."
