King Charles has been spotted leaving the hospital following his treatment for an enlarged prostate, looking happy and healthy. This comes just as Kate Middleton was announced to be leaving the hospital following her “planned abdominal surgery” that kept her in the hospital for 2 weeks. King Charles Is Discharged From The Hospital
Back on Jan. 17th Buckingham Palace released a statement informing citizens that the King has plans to be admitted to the hospital to receive treatment for an enlarged prostate. The statement reads: "His Majesty's condition is benign, and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure."
And on Jan. 29th, King Charles was released from the hospital, and was seen waving to onlookers with Queen Camilla at his side. The royal family shared a statement about his release: "Thank you to all those who have sent their good wishes during The King's hospital stay. His Majesty is delighted that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness."
A royal source had previously said that the King wanted to be very open about his procedure so that he might "encourage men who may be experiencing symptoms to get checked."
Kate Middleton's Health Status
At the same time as the King's health scare, Kate Middleton underwent what appears to be a major surgery. Also on Jan. 16th, Kensington Palace released a statement saying that the Princess of Wales was admitted to the hospital for a "planned abdominal surgery" and that "the surgery was successful," but she would be remaining in the hospital for 10-14 days to recover.
In addition, the Princess would be canceling all of her royal engagements until Easter, which falls on Mar. 31st this year, in order to focus on her recovery. Earlier this week, Kensington Palace reported that Kate had returned home and "is making good progress" in terms of recovery.
