Social Media Reacts To The Royal Family Seemingly Ignoring Prince Harry’s Daughter’s 3rd Birthday: ‘So Petty’

Lilibet, the daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, turned 3 years old on Tuesday, though if you didn’t know already, you wouldn’t have found out from social media. Despite having tweeted birthday wishes in the past, the Royal Family decided against publicly wishing the princess a happy birthday. Was it because they weren’t invited to her birthday party? Who knows. However, many social media users think it wasn’t a good luck for the Royal Family. Keep reading for more details.
Lilibet, named after the late Queen Elizabeth, turned 3 on Tuesday. The weekend before, Harry and Meghan held a little celebration at their home in Montecito, California, but the Royal Family reportedly did not receive an invite. Though it would’ve been quite a bit of travel for a 3-year-old’s birthday party, it still would’ve been nice to send out an invite, don’t you think?
A source told The Mirror, though, that it wasn’t going to happen: “Given the tensions between the Royal Family and Harry and Meghan, it’s not surprising that they chose to celebrate Princess Lilibet’s birthday privately with their own close circle of friends and family.”
Whether or not the lack of birthday wishes from the Royal Family is simply a coincidence is unclear, and while some say that the royals are simply respecting the Sussex’s privacy, others pointed out that they’ve tweeted out birthday wishes for Lilibet in the past. We’re sensing some tension here…
