After the concert, William and his children had the delightful opportunity to meet Swift, 34, in person. The father of three and the Grammy-winning artist captured the moment by taking selfies backstage along with Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce.
William shared a photo of himself with Swift and his two kids. In an Instagram post for @theprinceandprincessofwales (the account William shares with his wife Kate Middleton), the caption read: “Thank you @taylorswift for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour.”
Swift also uploaded a photo with the three royals, along with her NFL athlete beau, 34. In her IG caption, the Tortured Poets Department songwriter wrote: “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start.”

On The Royal Report podcast, Newsweek‘s lead royal correspondent Jack Royston remarked that young Charlotte’s encounter with Swift was undeniably a memorable event. He drew a parallel to an experience Princess Diana orchestrated for a teenage William, underscoring its significance.
“It’s been a really, really tough six months for the Wales family, but it does seem like things are looking up. And so as spring has come in Britain and the flowers are in bloom, they too have kind of come out of the darkness, and here they are living their best lives, having a great time,” Royston commented on the show, alluding to Princess Kate’s cancer diagnosis earlier this year and the encouraging news about her treatment shared last month.
The source continued: “Obviously, they all got millions and millions and millions of views, and it just really felt like William made Charlotte’s dream come true […] I think it made George’s dream come true as well, but Charlotte, just in particular, looked so happy. She was absolutely grinning from ear to ear, and it just really reminded me of Diana introducing William to all his teenage crushes.”
