Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just celebrated their third wedding anniversary, but it doesn’t look like their family celebrated with them. There were absolutely no comments made publicly or via social media by anyone in the royal family acknowledging the couple’s anniversary, which was on May 19.

This means that Harry’s dad, Prince Charles, grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II and brother, Prince William, all ignored his important milestone.

The royal family’s lack of attention to Harry and Meghan’s anniversary is a stark contrast to how they celebrated Prince William and Kate Middleton’s recent anniversary.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently celebrated ten years of marriage. On their anniversary, April 29, the royal family posted a series of photos of the couple, captioned: “Wishing The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge a very happy wedding anniversary. Today marks ten years since Their Royal Highnesses exchanged vows at Westminster Abbey.”

To add insult to injury, the royal family made a different announcement on the date of Harry and Meghan’s anniversary - as though simply ignoring the couple’s milestone was not enough.

On May 19, the palace announced that Princess Beatrice - Harry’s cousin - is pregnant with her first child. Many spectators believe the timing of this announcement is a direct insult towards the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, particularly because it has been reported that Meghan announced to family members that she was pregnant during the wedding of Princess Eugenie, who is Princess Beatrice’s sister.

Harry and Meghan are still at odds with the royal family following their decision to step away from their roles as senior members in early 2020. The situation has seemingly only worsened since the couple and their young son Archie relocated to California last year.

Recently, the two have publicly spoken out about issues they experienced while working in the royal family. They sat down with Oprah for a televised interview in which stories of racism and discrimination were shared, then Harry was featured on the Armchair Expert podcast, revealing that he had wanted to leave the royal family for over a decade.

Despite Harry and Meghan being snubbed, it seems like the royal family isn’t letting their qualms interfere with their relationship with Archie.

The royal family shared a public “happy birthday” message for Archie on his second birthday, which was on May 6. The family’s Instagram shared a post of Meghan and Harry holding baby Archie, with the caption: “Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today.”
