Salma Hayek Shares 3 Tricks for Staying Toned Without Traditional Workouts

1. She Is Always Conscious Of Her Posture

Additionally, her busy schedule often leaves her with little time to hit the gym. As Hayek explained to the outlet: "I don’t have time to exercise, I am working. I've had some 20-hour days." The Frida alum mastered the art of passively conditioning her body while maintaining awareness of her posture. "I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long," she said.

Hayek added: "So even when you brush your teeth, you’re working the muscles." She shared her love for "restorative yoga." As the Magic Mike's Last Dance actress noted: "She taught me to tone my muscles without clenching them. You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension. If you’re aware of your body, you’d be surprised by the effect it can have."

2. She Gets Active Thanks To Her Love Of Dancing

Though the From Dusk Till Dawn star often lacks both the "time" and motivation for full workouts, she enjoys adding a touch of dance to make the experience more fun when she does exercise. Hayek often shares clips of herself dancing in posts for her 29 million Instagram followers.

Hayek also spends time with her dogs often, leading her to be more active. One time, the House of Gucci alum shared a photo of herself playing with her pets, and wrote: "This is my version of exercise and these are my #dogs coaches ... These are my trainers!" In addition, she respects her body's need for rest and heeds its signals whenever possible. As she once wrote on Instagram: "Working out... swimming... what should I do? Nah – having a beer on the beach."

3. She Avoids Restrictive Dieting

Hayek frequently receives admiration from her supporters for her authenticity and genuine presence on social media. She has also mentioned that she doesn't need to adhere to or endorse a strict diet to keep her impressive physique as she nears her sixties. On her website, Hayek once said: "I don't like to diet and I'm not good at it." Instead of limiting her intake, Hayek enjoys a balanced diet that includes both healthy foods and indulgent treats like ice cream.

Additionally, the businesswoman has a passion for juice, which led her to start her own company, Cooler Cleanse. "When I feel stressed, I turn to food for comfort," Hayek told fans. "After doing a juice cleanse, I'm motivated to eat healthier and not emotionally. Cleansing is like my meditation. It makes me stop, focus and think about what I'm putting into my body."
