When it comes to fast food restaurants that put all the focus on chicken, Chick-fil-A is as poultry-centric as it gets. The eatery stands out from its competition because it offers so many variation on the chicken sandwich that it's pretty much impossible to get sick of it.

But not all chicken sandwich are alike. We asked a Chick-fil-A employee to reveal the one sandwich she'd never order. Here's her take on a meal she considers one of the worst.

Stay Away From This One Ingredient In Some Chick-fil-A Sandwiches

From grilled chicken wraps to fried chicken cutlets seasones with spices, Chick-fil-A offers a variety of poultry sandwiches and meals to satisfy every taste bud and health concern. But there's one ingredient present in very popular meals that a Chick-fil-A employee says is raising concerns among some customers.

"There's a lot of talk about MSG in some of our sandwiches and nuggets," she says. "There was even a petition going around about it. Personally, I would stay away from fried and heavily seasoned sandwiches and stick with grilled chicken. It's all delicious, but MSG is bad news."

Note: fried chicken is not the only food found to have MSG, which is a flavor enhancer that has been shown to cause metabolic syndrome and obesity — its buns also reportedly contain the additive.

Chicken Sandwiches With MSG

One Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich that has come under scrutiny is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich Deluxe, which lists MSG as one of its whopping 84 ingredients. This sandwich also has an insane amount of sodium — 1,750 mg — and 27 grams of fat per serving. Artifical colors and fattening oils are among the other less-than-stellar ingredients in this meal.

Chick-fil-A: The Bright Side

But it isn't all doom and gloom at Chick-fil-A. The eatery has shown a committment to the health of its consumers. It converted 45 percent of its chicken supply to no antibiotics and has made it a goal to convert 100 percent of its chicken to antibiotic-free poultry by 2019.

Let's hope this same dedication to offering a healthier fast food alternative adds up to a Chick-fil-A menu that contains absolutely no MSG — and a lot fewer chemicals and additives.
