We’ve been waiting for And Just Like That… from the moment the second Sex and the City movie ended back in 2010. Our math tells us that’s 11 very long years of impatiently waiting for our favorite ladies to make their small-screen comeback – and Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw-inspired red carpet look for the New York premiere of the HBO Max show on Wednesday, December 8th was definitely worth the wait!
SJP channeled her iconic SATC character by wearing a red carpet outfit that the fictional sex columnist would be proud of. The 56-year-old actress turned heads in a custom-made embellished blue-grey Oscar de la Renta midi dress, which featured a sweetheart neckline and came complete with a matching, dramatic embellished cape.
But that's not all, as the striking dress also featured a pink tulle skirt underneath the asymmetric skirt. Was this a nod to the iconic pink tutu in the original Sex and the City opening credits? We think so! Sarah accessorized her show-stopping look with some pink satin SJP Collection heels, titled 'the Duchessa,' which complemented the baby pink tulle skirt perfectly, an Erdem bag, and jewelry from Fred Leighton and Larkspur and Hawk.
She wore her hair in a non-distracting ballerina-esque bun, and had smoky eye makeup to add to the drama of the look. She was red carpet perfection, and Carrie Bradshaw herself would have been very proud! The New York premiere was a family affair, as SJP was joined on the red carpet by 59-year-old husband Matthew Broderick, and their 19-year-old son James Wilkie – what a night!
