Sarah Jessica Parker captured hearts years ago in the classic role of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, and with the upcoming HBO reboot it looks like she’ll be getting more than adequately compensated for her work. After six seasons of the original run, as well as two movies, the cast has solidified their stardom and are getting the paychecks to prove it.
According to Variety, Sarah Jessica Parker will be making a shocking $1 million per episode, with castmates Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon banking the same. The second iteration of the show will be titled And Just Like That, and will carry on without Samantha. The fan favorite, who was played by Kim Cattrall in the original show and movies, notably feuded with her cast members over the years and has opted out.
The show is set to run for 10 episodes, which means that by the end of this season, Parker will have banked around $10 million. According to Cosmopolitan, over the course of the original run of the show, Parker made about $147 million, so it’s safe to say she’s set for the foreseeable future.
Over the years, Sex and the City has secured Parker with not only the title of “millionaire,” but also as the star of one of the most well-loved franchises of our time. In fact, following in the footsteps (pun intended) of Carrie Bradshaw’s love of shoes, Parker launched her own shoe line called SJP in 2013.
For those eager to watch, the HBO reboot is set to start filming in New York City this spring, so you’ll have plenty of time to perfect your cosmopolitan recipe before the show airs. I, for one, can’t wait to contribute to SJP’s massive payout!
