Sarah Jessica Parker just wore a pair of mismatched shoes – just like Carrie Bradshaw did all those years ago – and we are obsessed! If us regular folk step out in a pair of mismatched shoes, it would usually be due to getting dressed in the dark, leaving the house in a hurry, or because we’re just having one of *those* days, and would as a result, have to spend the rest of the day hiding from people and having to explain our fashion faux pas with everyone who asks.
However, when a style icon like Sarah Jessica Parker does it, we *know* that it was an informed and totally calculated decision which will inspire a lot more fashionistas to be bold and try the controversial trend for themselves in the not-so-distant future!

Sarah Jessica Parker Wears Mismatched Shoes To Flagship SJP Collection Store
The Sex and the City star, 57, wore one turquoise pearl-embellished heel and one black pearl-embellished heel when she arrived at her flagship SJP Collection store in New York; and it’s safe to say that Carrie Bradshaw would definitely approve, especially as she too wore mismatched heels in the Sex and the City Season 3 episode, Escape From New York.

The shoes were clearly the stars of the show, and the Hocus Pocus actress teamed them with a long-sleeved frilly dress, a white coat featuring embellished buttons, and a black studded shoulder bag. She wore her hair in an effortless voluminous down do, and sported smoky dark eye makeup and a subtle nude lip.

That wasn’t the first time SJP stepped out in mismatched shoes, which is why we know that it was an intentional move. In September 2019, the Failure to Launch actress walked the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala red carpet in a voluminous fuchsia Zac Posen gown teamed with different colored shoes from her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker collection! However, the shoes weren’t technically mismatched at all, as they were designed to have one shocking pink and one gorgeous gold color per pair!
