Sarah Michelle Gellar Wears A Black Christian Siriano Gown With A Plunging Front And Floral Hem To Accept Her ‘Icon’ Award In Cannes

Sarah Michelle Gellar completely slayed, pardon the pun, at the 6th Canneseries International Festival in Cannes, France on Wednesday, April 19th. Although she had been hitting the red carpet in a few enviable outfits, it seems like the 46-year-old Wolf Pack actress saved the best ’til last, as she attended the closing ceremony in a stunning strapless black Christian Siriano gown from the Fall 2023 collection, which featured a daring, plunging structured neckline and an exaggerated floral hem.

The Do Revenge actress's look was styled by Tara Swennen, and we are in awe! The Scooby Doo actress accessorized her dress with patent black Christian Louboutin heels and a black satin Jimmy Choo clutch. For jewelry, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum went for a diamond bracelet, delicate drop earrings and rings by Candy Ice and Melinda Maria. She finished off her look with a bold red lip, while her hair was styled in a chic updo to let the earrings command the attention.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Accepts 'Canal Plus Icon' Award

The Cruel Intentions alum, who shares 13-year-old daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze and 10-year-old son Rocky James Prinze with husband Freddie Prinze Jr, received the 'Canal Plus Icon' award in honor of her career during the closing ceremony, so we totally get why she pulled out all the stops with her appearance!

"This entire week here has been so overwhelming. I love making television," the actress began her acceptance speech. "And I'm not sure why I've been so lucky to be making television for as long as I have, but seeing everybody here tonight has been so incredibly inspiring. And I'm just really honored, for lack of a better word, and thank you," she continued, adding: "This has been an incredible celebration of television, and for everyone here I applaud you and the work you do."
