The show is about President Clinton’s impeachment and his scandalous affair with 22-year-old intern, Monica Lewinsky. Paulson plays Linda Tripp, who had a major role in exposing the affair back in 1998.
And the actress truly looks like Tripp!
When she was spotted on set, Pauslon wore a brown pant suit with a white shirt and pearl necklace, and even had her hair styled the same way Tripp had worn hers in the 1990s.
And even though it seems easy for Paulson to adopt Tripp’s physical appearance, the actress has revealed that this is one of her most challenging roles yet.
Speaking on The Ellen Degeneres Show recently, Paulson shared, "Unlike when I played Marcia Clark [on the first installment of American Crime Story] — I've played real people before — there was a real opportunity to right a collective wrong in terms of how we thought about her and her purported failure in that trial.
“But with Linda, it's a little more complicated. She behaves in ways that are a little bit more confusing."
Impeachment: American Crime Story will air on FX on September 7. Paulson stars alongside another A-list cast: Clive Owen as Bill Clinton, Edie Falco as Hilary Clinton, Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky and Anthony Green as Al Gore.
