Savannah Guthrie just revealed that she has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time – less than four months after her first positive diagnosis! The 50-year-old Today co-anchor shared the news on Friday, May 6th on her personal Instagram account, just two days before Mother’s Day!
Alongside a picture of her positive test with the date on, she wrote: “So this happened—again! Covid +, air filter on ‘turbo’ and it will be an isolating Mother’s Day for this mama!!! I feel fine, just slight cold so far. Thankful to be vaccinated!” She also shared a picture of her air filter, and a selfie of herself wearing a mask.
Lots of fans and fellow famous faces sent their well wishes to Guthrie in the comments section of her post. “Noooooo! Lots of wordle and tea and IG scrolling for you, mama,” read one comment, followed by the red heart emoji, while another read, “Oh SG!!! That stinks!! I hope you get to hug your babies soon or at least get a Mothers Day do over.”
One fan, who seemed to be in disbelief, wrote, “No no no. No!” while another wrote, “Oh no! Didn’t you have it a few months ago?? Scary how you can get it again and so soon. Hope you have a negative result very soon.”
