The short hair trend is looking to be just as popular in 2022 as it was in 2021, as Savannah Guthrie is the latest celeb to go for the chop. And she looks *SO* good!
The 50-year-old Today Show host made the most of being set free into the world following her COVID-19 isolation, after revealing that she had tested positive for the virus on Monday, January 10th. She treated fans to her new look – which consisted of her shoulder length locks being cut into a shorter style that now just grazes the tops of her shoulders – via an Instagram post on Sunday, January 23rd, with the short and sweet caption: “chopped.”

Guthrie's fans wasted no time in taking to the comments section of her post and complimenting her on her new look. "Beautiful! Nothing like a good chop," wrote one fan. Another added: "You always look beautiful. Sometimes we just need a change!" "Looks wonderful!!!!" exclaimed another IG user, while someone else told Guthrie that the new do should mean a little less work when it comes to styling, adding, "Looks great…and lower maintenance!!"
Another fan went one step further and not only praised Guthrie's hair, but her natural approach to sharing pictures. I.e., not the overly-filtered and Photoshopped way favored by the Kardashians. "I love this. What I love even more is the fact that you are always posting your authentic self (no filters, no special lighting….)" the fan wrote, adding: "This is what our youth needs to see more. The "real" faces behind the cameras! Keep it up! You are a great example for our girls!" Another fan also took the opportunity to praise and thank Guthrie for being herself, writing: "Thanks for always being a bright light in such a dark time! I appreciate you! Happy Sunday!"
