Scarlett Johansson Wears A Stylish Gray Suit
The outing follows unsettling news that Scarlett's stalker has been arrested after allegedly threatening to bomb the SNL studio—where her husband, Colin Jost, works as a staff writer and co-host of the Weekend Update segment—according to court filings and law enforcement officials.
The mother of two's alleged stalker, identified as 48-year-old Michael Joseph Branham, reportedly has the name “Scarlett” tattooed inside a heart on his torso. He was arrested in Manhattan on Wednesday for allegedly sending threatening text messages.
According to the criminal complaint, one of the messages read: “THE NEXT TIME YOU HERE [sic] FROM ME I WILL BE ON CNN FOR EXPLODING A BOMB IN SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE AUDIENCE.”
Scarlett Johansson's Stalker Is Arrested
According to police sources, a global security investigator for NBC Universal and 30 Rock reported the threatening messages to the Midtown North Precinct on Tuesday. Michael Joseph Branham, who has four outstanding warrants in Kentucky, was arrested in New York City in connection with the bomb threat—an act prosecutors say was fueled by a personal obsession with Johansson.
The stalker showed up in Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday, where he was charged with multiple felonies. They included false reporting and making a threat of mass harm.
His bail was set at $100,000 cash or a $300,000 bond.
Upon further digging in his social media activity, in November 2023, he wrote on X, “Don’t worry about anything #SCARLETTINGRIDJOHANSSON I still have not cheated on you no matter what the brain interface people tell you in the air waves!!! I love you honey I’m waiting for you still in Hollywood.”
