The Scary Reason You Should Stop Using Coffee Creamer

If you rely on your daily cup of coffee to start your day, you’re not alone. And don’t worry – there’s nothing wrong with having coffee with your breakfast, as long as you don’t regularly drink more than two cups a day. But, the ingredients you add to your coffee can be very wrong for your health – especially the one ingredient you think is safe to use.

We're talking about coffee creamer. Many health-conscious people opt for non-dairy creamers as an alternative to milk because they contain less fat and calories than traditional milk. But don't let these facts fool you - non-dairy creamers are much worse for your health than milk.

If you take a look at the nutrition labels on most coffee creamers, you'll quickly see a huge amount of artificial ingredients and additives that you shouldn't be eating. An original flavor of Coffee Mate creamer is made with corn syrup solids, hydrogenated vegetable oil and artificial colors and flavors.

These unwanted ingrdients are what gives non-dairy creamers their milk-like consistency and delicious flavors, but they're also terrible for your health. In fact, a lot of these ingredients are actually much worse for you that the small amount of fat you get from using regular milk in your coffee.

The best thing to add to your coffee is milk. If you're concerned about fat content, pick a 1% or skim milk. And if you were using non-dairy creamers to add flavor, try using some natural ingredients like cinnamon to flavor your coffee.
