Prince William and Prince Harry still seem to be at odds. It has been reported that the royal brothers have been feuding since Harry’s decision to step away from his position as a senior member of the royal family in January 2020.

And the situation only seems to be getting worse between Princes William and Harry, who are the grandsons of Queen Elizabeth and respectively second and sixth in line to the throne.

It has now been revealed that the brothers will not be putting up a united front together at the upcoming memorial service for their late mother, Princess Diana.

Prince William & Prince Harry Still Feuding During Princess Diana’s Memorial

Princess Diana will be memorialized at an upcoming ceremony to unveil a new statue in her honor. Set for July 2021, the ceremony will commemorate the late royal 24 years after her tragic passing, on what would have been her 60th birthday.

Princes William and Harry were respectively 15 and 12 when their mother died.

The brothers have been working together for a while to create this tribute to their mother, and it seems that not even this moment can help the two settle their differences.

Both princes will attend their mother’s statue unveiling, though they will not deliver a joint speech together. Instead, they are each planning to make their own statement.

“They will both move heaven and earth to be there. They commissioned the statue together. It is very important for them,” a source told The Sun.

The source continued, “There is, of course, hope the memory of Diana can repair their relationship but that seems a long way off right now. The brothers will be physically together for the ceremony but want to make their own personal addresses.”

There is no question as to the cause of Prince William and Prince Harry’s dispute, particularly in light of the very public struggles the royal family has faced over the past year and a half.

Prince William has been upset with his younger brother since Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle chose to step down from their roles as senior members of the royal family last year. Things have not improved, particularly as Harry and Meghan moved to the United States with their now two-year-old son Archie.

Harry had not traveled home to see his family throughout the pandemic, and only returned to the UK briefly last month to attend the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip. Markle and Archie did not go with him.

The tension between Princes William and Harry only grew following the infamous Oprah interview from March, in which Prince Harry and Markle revealed some shocking details about their experiences in the royal family.

In the interview, it was mentioned that the couple faced racism and exclusivity, among other struggles brought on by cultural differences and public scrutiny.

Now private citizens living in California, Prince Harry and Markle have dedicated their time to activism and are currently expecting their second child.
