Selena Gomez was one of the A-listers at Sabrina Carpenter‘s Short n’ Sweet concert at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, September 29th. And like most if not all of the concertgoers, she seemed to have the best time singing and dancing along to some of her favorite songs!

The 32-year-old Only Murders in the Building star, who was dressed in a sizzling sparkly black ultra-mini dress, seemed to enjoy the song “Juno” the most, as she shared a video of herself performing a very sexy and sultry dance for the camera while Sabrina was singing the song. However, the (now deleted!) video, which was simply captioned with boyfriend Benny Blanco‘s Instagram handle, seemed to cause some controversy.

Selena Gomez’s Instagram Video From Sabrina Carpenter’s Concert Divides The Internet

Many people thought the video of the Vanity Fair cover star‘s sultry dance was “attention-seeking,” to quote one Daily Mail reader. “I would call it desperate for attention myself. But then I’m old fashioned,” concurred a second, as a third thought: “Something is off here. ”

“Trying way too hard!” exclaimed another fan in the Daily Mail‘s comment section, as many others thought the dancing was embarrassing. “This made me cringe. Like. Why was this post necessary?” asked one reader. “Second hand embarrassment,” added another, as someone else criticized the video, writing: “Cringe upon cringe.”

The comments continued over on Reddit, where fans were somewhat divided. "I would be so embarrassed to post this video," wrote one fan, which seemed to echo what the Daily Mail's readers felt. "This felt like it was more for the camera than her authentically having a good time," thought a second Reddit user. "She looks drunk lol," thought a third.

"She looks kind of messy drunk but I mean, that's not the end of the world! She's having fun and her hair looks incredible. So, good for you girl!" exclaimed another, as many other fans also defended their idol.

"Damn some of y'all are allergic to fun lmao, this is exactly the energy this song calls for," wrote one fan in Selena's defense. "Wow there's a lot of pearl clutching and judging going on here. It's just a woman dancing. I don't see what's embarrassing about this at all," wrote another, adding: "Some people here saying she's acting like a pick me? Can a woman not smile and dance without other women bringing her down?"

Fans Also Criticize Édgar Ramírez Video

And speaking of controversy, another video which the billionaire beauty mogul shared to Instagram also caused a bit of a stir. This video also featured her Emilia Pérez co-star Édgar Ramírez, who she was dancing to "Espresso" with, and some fans thought it was "uncomfortable" and "odd" to see the pair of them dancing so closely.

"This is weird," thought one Instagram user. "I wonder how she'd feel if a girl was dancing all over her man like that, or maybe they get down like that but tad disrespectful," wrote a second. "Oh wait, that's not her bf. I don't keep up with her and I was like, 'aww, that's cute.' Ooops lol," wrote a third.

"If I were Benny I wouldn't be ok with this. Regardless of whatever agreement they have exclusive or open relationship this is too much. Do better my dear," slammed a fourth. "This makes me feel icky," wrote a fifth.

Fans Defend Selena Gomez

"She looks great! The girl can move," wrote one fan on a YouTube video which analyzed her "sultry" dance moves, where many other fans jumped to her defense. "This woman is on fire," complimented a second, followed by the fire emoji, "She is having a great time like most people do at their friends' concerts!" they added.

"Wow leave her alone she's living her best life," demanded one fan. Someone else said: "Drunk? Yeah maybe. Not a problem with getting drunk at a concert and there's nothing cringe about letting yourself feel happy and free who the [expletive] cares everyone in the crowd is high we all have ESPRESSO in our system sit down and be quiet."

"She's enjoying herself and her feminine vibes. Leave her be," said another. "Selena is having fun," wrote another, as someone else concurred, adding: "She's having fun! Leave this lady alone! It's enough! She deserves to have fun in a concert!" "Shut up all you haters out there. It seems like you'll don't know how to have fun, stay put and let the queen enjoy her life," wrote another.
