Selena Gomez continues to exude elegance and glamor while promoting her upcoming musical comedy movie, Emilia Perez. The Only Murders in the Building actress, 31, kicked off her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in a chic and tasteful monochromatic outfit from London-based fashion label, Self-Portrait.
Gomez’s ensemble featured a peplum white knit minidress paired with elegant black-and-white slingback pumps from French brand Roger Vivier. The Rare Beauty mogul accessorized with a matching Aspinal of London bag, gold dangling earrings, and rounded sunglasses.

The "Single Soon" singer's standout frock featured long flared sleeves, knit fabric, a waist-emphasizing design and a flirty ruffled skirt that fell just before her knees. The dress also boasted shiny gold buttons down its center as well as a low-cut neckline.
At the 77th Cannes Film Festival, Gomez's new film was chosen to vie for the Palme d'Or and Queer Palm. Emilia Perez, a musical crime comedy, was directed and written by Jacques Audiard and features Gomez starring as a character named Jessi, the wife of a Mexican cartel leader.
The storyline follows a woman who is entrusted with helping the cartel leader who has fled, undergo gender reassignment surgery in order to elude the authorities and establish her gender. French movie-goers can catch the film in theaters on August 28th.
Gomez revealed to Variety that she was enamored by Emilia Perez as soon as she delved into the script. The "Love On" artist reflected: "It was captivating, it was heartbreaking, it was really moving to me." Gomez went on: "I had a blast and I love the songs [in the film]. I think they’re really beautiful."
