There are many things sacred to us beauty geeks, but one of the most important is the Sephora VIB/Beauty Insider Sale. A mega-savings event that allows you to shop some of the industry’s favorite beauty products at just a fraction of the retail value, the Sephora Beauty Insider sale doesn’t come around very often… so when it does, you need to shop.
Lucky for you, we know a thing or two about Sephora’s sale calendar. Unfortunately, most of the 2022 Sephora Beauty Insider sales have already come and gone, but we have some insider tips (see what we did there?!) for when you can expect to save on beauty finds for the rest of the year. How Do Sephora Sales Work?
Sephora likes to do things a little differently. With the exception of its Oh Snap!, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday sales, Sephora sales tend to exclusively be for the members of its Beauty Insider rewards program. This might sound a little unfair, but it’s actually very simple to join the Sephora Beauty Insider program. And *anyone* can join!
How To Join The Sephora Beauty Insider Program
Joining the Sephora Beauty Insider rewards program takes just seconds (yes really, we timed ourselves!) is totally free, and best of all, there is no minimum spend to qualify. So, there is literally no reason *not* to join! But there are hundreds of reasons *to* join; and having access to the highly-anticipated Sephora VIB/Beauty Insider Sales is one of the best ones!
What Is The Sephora VIB/Insider Sale?
Sephora's Insider Sale is its way of honoring its most loyal customers: the Insiders. Insiders earn points on every purchase made at Sephora, whether online or in-store. It's a tiered program, starting with Insider, and then the more you shop and accrue points, you'll reach the second tier of VIB (aka, Very Important Beauty) and ultimately the top tier, Rouge. (We'll go into a little more detail about this below.)
How Much Can I Save At The Sephora VIB Insider Sale?
Insiders receive 10% off during the Insider sales events, while VIB members receive 15% off, and the elite Rouge members can get a whopping 20% off their beauty items at the Insider sale.

As promised, here's a little more info. The Sephora Beauty Insider program is divided into three tiers:
Sephora Insider
New members are automatically awarded Insider status when they join Sephora Beauty Insider, and shoppers can earn 1 point back on all Sephora purchases. With Insider-level membership, you can get access to most of the exclusive Sephora Beauty Insider sale events, including the Sephora Spring Sale and VIB Holiday Bonus Sale. Pretty cool for basic membership that takes just seconds to join and no minimum spend required!
Sephora VIB
Members are awarded VIB status when they spend over $350 at Sephora within a calendar year. VIB status earns you 1.25 points back, as well as access to all the Sephora Beauty Insider sale events, including the Sephora Spring Sale, Summer Bonus Sale and VIB Holiday Bonus Sale.
Sephora Rouge
Members are awarded the exclusive VIB Rouge status once they spend over $1,000 at Sephora within one calendar year. Rouge membership status earns you 1.5 points back on all Sephora purchases, and best of all, *early* access to the Sephora Beauty Insider sale events, including the Sephora Spring Sale, Summer Bonus Sale and VIB Holiday Bonus Sale. We know we aren’t the only ones who dream of VIB Rouge status!
The Sephora Holiday Savings Event
Christmas has come early, as the Sephora Holiday Savings Event we have been (im)patiently waiting for is almost upon us, so make sure you check your Sephora Beauty Insider tier to see what your options are! And if you're nearing a brand new tier, now would be a good time to make that final purchase to get yourself into a higher tier to take advantage of the extra savings!

What Can I Save In The Sephora Holiday Savings Event?
All Insider members can enjoy 30% off all Sephora Collection items. Rouge members get 20% off from 10/28/22 – 11/7/22 while VIB members get 15% off from 11/1/22 – 11/7/22. Insider members get the 10% offer which is valid from 11/3/22 – 11/7/22.
Past Sephora Sales
Some of the 2022 Sephora Insider sales have come and gone, but it is important to always keep track of the dates of savings events so you can be prepared for next year. And it's great to check out some of the offers to show just how unmissable they are!
September – Sephora Oh Snap! Sale: Fall Edition. Similar to the spring Sephora Oh Snap! Sale, the fall version is the perfect opportunity to stock up on your fall faves. From darker lip colors to smokier eye hues, to tinted moisturizers to make up for the fact that we are getting less sun, the makeup-bag-upgrading opportunities are endless!
October – Sephora National Brow Day Sale. To coincide with National Brow Day on October 2nd, this one-day event gives shoppers a chance to get some great deals to make their brows well and truly on fleek. Last year, Sephora had 50% off Benefit Cosmetics Brow Microfilling Eyebrow Pen, and you could also get two Huda Beauty Microshade Brow Pencils for $25, so it's always worth checking out!

November – It’s a busy month! First up is the Sephora's VIB Holiday Bonus Sale we previously discussed, which is open to all membership tiers on most items online and in stores.
Sephora Black Friday Sale 2022
We then have the Sephora Black Friday Sale, which is everyone's chance to get involved in the sale, not just Beauty Insider members; and then the Cyber Monday Sale, which falls on the Monday after Thanksgiving and is also accessible to everyone. Savings are usually epic (don’t be shocked to find 50% off your favorites) but quantities are usually very limited, so if you see something you like, snap it up fast!
December – Sephora's Beauty For All Sale is the early Christmas present we never knew we needed! It takes place in December, and Beauty Insiders of all tiers can take part in this event that gives you 20% off your entire purchase, and 30% off the Sephora Collection. Wow! This is a very new event, having only made its debut last year on December 3rd and ending on December 12th. Keep your eyes peeled for official date announcements, because we expect it to run in very early December this year too!
