Many stores will have promotions running for Memorial Day (which falls on Monday, May 27 this year), but beauty buffs truly only care about one sale, and that’s Sephora’s.
The Sephora Memorial Day Sale only happens once a year (unlike their Beauty Insider Sales, which are semi-annual) and that makes it special. The deals are deep–last year’s flier was six pages long and the discount was up to 60% off. But the sale doesn’t last long, it ends promptly at 11:59pm on Memorial Day. We don’t miss out, so here’s everything we know so far:
What is the sale?
Sephora‘s Memorial Day sale or “Summer Sale” as it’s also called, features up to 60% off select products.
It’s not a site-wide sale, meaning that not everything is included, but the selection is really good. Think brands like Urban Decay, Tarte, BECCA, Kat von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Milk and more.
You don’t need to be a member of their VIB rewards program to access the deals, although Insider members do get free shipping over $50.
The sale comes right after their epic Spring Beauty Insider Sale has ended, so if you missed that event or aren’t a VIB, you can still get your favorite beauty brands for more than half off.

When does it start?
The Sephora’s sale typically starts on the Friday or Saturday before Memorial Day and lasts through the weekend. In 2018, it started on Friday, May 25. In 2017, they had a “Summer Sale” running during Memorial Day weekend, May 28. In 2016, the brand had a 20% off sitewide sale the weekend of Memorial Day, but it doesn’t look like that’s something they’ve repeated in recent years.
Based off past year’s sales, we can anticipate that it will begin on Friday, May 25, 2019. A rep for the brand was tight-lipped about the date, however.
The best way to find out when the sale is running and what will be featured is by downloading the Sephora app. They include all sales and deals under the “Beauty Offers” in the app, so you can preview what’s coming and plot your attack ahead of time.

How long does it last?
The sale typically lasts three days, starting on the Friday before Memorial Day and ending on the holiday at 11:59 pm EST. Aka, it’s not long enough!
What’s featured?
In past years they’ve had Naked Smokey Palette for $27, Formula X Nail Polishes for $2, Smashbox primers minis for $10, Becca Highlighters for $18, Too Faced Boudoir Eyes palette for $18, Tarte Creamy Matte Lip paints for $12 and more great deals.
According to last year’s flier, the BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter was $17, down from $34; Tarte’s Mermaid Brush Set was $29, down from $43 and Too Faced’s Chocolate Bar palette was $25, down from $49. Yes–the deals were VERY good.

Here are a few of our predictions of what will be featured this year:
Urban Decay Naked Palettes
The retailer always features plenty of Urban Decay products in the sale, including their bestselling Naked palettes for as little as $19. Will their new Naked Reloaded palette be includes? One can only hope.
URBAN DECAY Naked Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette
$10 Of Anastasia Beverly Hills
Last year they had Anastasia' Prism Eye shadow palette for $31.50, down from $42. We're looking forward to more products from the eyebrow queen being marked down similarly in 2019.

Sephora Collection
The company obviously features their own Sephora Collection in sales. Will they feature items from their perfectly-priced under $20 skincare collection this year? Fingers crossed!
