Serena Williams has recently been garnering attention with her noticeably slimmer figure, sparking curiosity among fans about her weight loss journey. The iconic tennis player, 43, has been posting pictures of her fit and trim body on social media, leaving her followers amazed by her change. On December 30th, the athlete and style icon posted an Instagram video of herself wearing a form-fitting denim maxi skirt.

Williams has been sharing her transformation since the birth of her second daughter, Adira River, with her husband Alexis Ohanian in August 2023. From the outset, she expressed that one of her goals was to fit into the Valentino denim maxi skirt she purchased while pregnant.

Serena Williams Highlights 20-Lb Weight Loss in Stylish Valentino Denim Skirt After Ozempic Rumors Surface

Last week, Williams proudly revealed to her followers that she had achieved this goal, posting the clip of herself in the skirt. This occurred after Williams had previously ignited speculation about Ozempic, with some fans suspecting she used weight loss medication to achieve her slimmer figure.

The mom of two (who also shares daughter Olympia, 7, with husband Ohanian, 41) captioned her December 30th post: “The “Jean Skirt” finale.” In the clip, she said: “I have an audience today for this big moment of will it or will it not fit.” As she began to undo the buttons of her skirt, she mentioned with emphasis that it had been tight the previous time she tried to fit into it. While successfully raising one side of the skirt to her waist, she remarked that it already felt more comfortable.

After successfully pulling the waistband over her hips and fastening the button and zipper, Williams looked at herself in the mirror. She even bent down as her friend suggested to “drop it like it’s hot.” She revealed: “It just fits. An ounce more, it wouldn’t. I need to give myself credit.” Williams kicked off her try-on mini-series in January and kept her fans in the loop with periodic updates.

Earlier this summer, she attempted to fit into the skirt but had difficulty zipping it all the way. Despite this, she noted she had still “made a lot of progress.” This month, she finally achieved her goal. Williams has sparked rumors of using Ozempic due to her slimmer appearance in recent photos.

In one image from last month (above), she was seen on a private jet, donning a black tank top that highlighted her toned arms. Ozempic, a widely-known weight-loss medication, has been associated with notable celebrity changes. Beneath that December 11th post, one user wrote: “Ozempic, anyone?” as another added: ““As a full-time athlete didn’t lose weight or get lean somehow she’s retired and she looks more in shape than she was when she played. Can somebody say Ozempic?”

Someone else chimed in: “U lost weight, sis, you look good.” Amid the rumors about Ozempic, numerous fans promptly praised Williams for appearing robust and fit. “She looks great. Slightly thinner but still very toned,” one wrote. Another concurred, writing: “Ok, cheekbones!!!” Despite the buzz, Williams has not commented on these rumors herself.
