Shakira Upcharges For World Tour Concert Tickets
According to Shakira fan account @ShakiraStuff_ on X, formerly Twitter, "the average ticket price of Shakira's US and Canada shows are currently $703," with that statistic coming from Seat Geek. While many superfans didn't think twice about seeing their idol in concert, others couldn't believe the price. At least she's not coming on hours later than advertised, though, like some people—i.e. Madonna and Nicki Minaj.
Is it worth it? That's the question many fans are asking themselves. The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which translates to Women Don't Cry Anymore and is the name of Shakira's 12th studio album, is starting in the United States on November 2nd, and the first leg will last through the 21st of December. She'll be singing newer songs like "Puntería" and "Tiempo Sin Verte," as well as some of her classics like "Hips Don't Lie" and "Waka Waka." "Puntería" actually has a Cardi B features, so who knows, maybe some fans will be lucky enough to see them perform it together!
Fans Shocked By Shakira's Steep Prices
Despite how much fun the concert may be, for most fans, it's simply too expensive. "Whoa," one fan wrote on Twitter. "As much as I'd love to see @Shakira live in concert the $200 ticket price in the nosebleed section of Capital One Arena in DC is out of budget."
In a reply to the same Tweet another fan shared that he can't even find ticket prices that low! "I see $300 per ticket from resellers for last row nosebleed tickets in San Antonio. Nope!" "These Shakira tour prices are CRAZY!" agreed another user.
"I paid less for Beyoncé!" added another fan.
"I love you Shakira but these are insanely overpriced," shared another.
Others weren't as nice: "She fell off how are tickets even more expensive than Bad Bunny?" one person asked.
"Okay mother, but now we need a stadium tour with cheaper prices cause damn..." one person replied.
"Mother said poor b****es can stay home!" a final fan joked.
