Sharon Osbourne has had a controversial past year, and now the 69-year-old television personality has revealed that she will be returning to the small screen after a dramatic exit from “The Talk” back in March of last year. Taking to Instagram to start off the month of February, Osbourne wished her followers a belated happy new year before delving into the details of her TV endeavors.
“I’m saying Happy New Year now because I didn’t before, because I didn’t want to get on the old iPhone and talk to anyone, I’ve not felt like it,” she started the video, adding that she does finally feel ready to speak to her fans.

Osbourne first shared that her upcoming book was going to be pushed back due to significant changes she intended to make, but the 69-year-old then continued on, sharing her plans for returning the TV.
“Now, I also want to share that I have been signed to do a new TV show, it’ll be starting very soon and I couldn’t be happier,” she announced. “I can’t tell you where the show is yet, and what network, because the TV company have to do that, that’s not my job. Once they announce it then we can all talk about it and we can all go: ‘She hasn’t, she didn’t, she couldn’t!’ Well, I did.”

Osbourne made her departure from “The Talk” back in March 2020 after being the final remaining original co-host of the program when controversy arose after she defended Piers Morgan over his inflammatory comments about Meghan Markle. However, following her break from entertainment, Osbourne shared that the past year without working had been difficult on her mental health.
“The year that I’ve had off has been the first year that I have ever not worked since aged 15, and I honestly didn’t know what to do with myself. I think I went a bit crazy, but I’m alright now,” she said. Well, we’re undeniably curious about what her next television venture will be.
