Original reality TV star Sharon Osbourne entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in the U.K. on Monday, March 4th, much to the delight of her fans. But the 71-year-old Osbournes matriarch didn’t appear to be like the rest of her fellow housemates, as she entered as a ‘celebrity lodger’ due to only intending to spend one week in the house. And her decision was due to husband Ozzy Osbourne!

Prior to entering the house, Sharon explained the heartbreaking reason for initially agreeing to such a short stay, saying she could only be away from the 75-year-old Black Sabbath rocker for a maximum of one week due to his battle with Parkinson’s. He was diagnosed back in 2003, but only went public with the diagnosis during an interview with Good Morning America in 2020.

Sharon Osbourne Said She Didn't Want To 'Stay Away From Ozzy For Too Long'

At the time of writing (eight days after she entered) the former X Factor judge is still in the house, prompting speculation from fans that she may have negotiated a higher paycheck and will be spending a little longer than planned in the house. Sharon is reportedly being paid £100,000 per day, and has been sleeping in her own private room, as opposed to the bedroom shared by the rest of the housemates.

Although Sharon appears to be staying a little longer than she initially intended, it's unlikely that she will be staying the full 19 days of the show due to what she previously said about her husband. According to The Sun, the Osbournes star made it clear from the beginning that her short stint in the house was down to the "Paranoid" rocker and his poor health.

"I don't want to stay away from Ozzy for too long. We're so close as a family," she explained to the pub before her entry into the famous house, while confessing that even just a few days without speaking to any of her family would be extremely tough for her.

"I don't think I have ever gone a week without talking to any of them, ever," she confessed, adding: "Through fights, feuds, everything. We still talk and this will definitely be the longest. I don't know how I'm going to cope."

Sharon Osbourne Opens Up About Ozzy Osbourne's Parkinson's Battle On TV

As part of her deal to be on the show, Sharon is reportedly allowed to have one phone call a day to check on her husband's health. Ordinarily, housemates are not allowed to have any communication with the outside world during their time in the house.

The mom-of-three told her celebrity housemates a little more about her husband's health on her first day in the house, saying: "He's doing OK, it's hard for him but he's doing OK. He's already started to complain. I had my last phone call with him on the way here and he was miserable."

Sharon Osbourne Confirms UK Move

As well as giving her unfiltered opinion on some fellow A-listers – spoiler alert: she's not a fan of James Corden or Anna Wintour! – Sharon also confirmed that she and Ozzy will indeed be moving from the U.S. to the U.K., as was speculated a few years ago.

"I'm going to be here from April," Sharon confirmed. "My hubby is coming over and we'll still go back over there because our kids are still there but we'll have this as our base," she added, in reference to children Kelly Osbourne, Jack Osbourne, and Aimee Osbourne. "I miss it here, very very much," she admitted.
